Indeed Job Posting and Campaign Issues
Updated over a month ago

If you're using the Fountain Indeed integration and are encountering issues with your job postings or campaigns, it may be due to an incorrect connection between your Indeed user account and the wrong Employer Account.

Overview

When using the Fountain Indeed integration, users may accidentally connect the wrong Indeed account or select the incorrect Employer Account, resulting in problems with job postings, billing, and campaign management.

Example scenario:

A Fountain customer called Fossil Frontier has multiple Indeed Employer Accounts and is using multiple Brands in Fountain. A user in the Fossil Frontier account has connected the Indeed user email [email protected] to Fountain, but this user is inactive in Indeed. Additionally, this user is associated with an Employer Account that does not have any active jobs, campaigns, or billing information. This is likely an old or abandoned account.

There is however an active Indeed user with the email [email protected] associated with Fossil Frontier. This email has a 1 in it while the inactive user email did not include a 1.

When this active user email is connected to the Employer Account with billing properly set up and it has active jobs, campaigns, and billing information, the issue will be corrected.

Troubleshooting Steps

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot:

  1. Log in to Indeed and verify that the requisite information was input correctly and that billing has also been set up correctly. If changes need to be made, update in Indeed and see if the issue is resolved. If the issue is not resolved, move on to step 2.

  2. Log in to Fountain and Sourcing in the top toolbar.

  3. Click Sourcing Settings on the left.

  4. Disconnect the incorrect Indeed user by clicking unlink to the right of the user's email.

  5. Enter the correct user email and click Connect to Indeed. The linked user must have admin permissions for the Indeed Employer Account.

  6. Type the correct Employer Account during the reconnection process, ensure you select the correct Employer Account. This is a critical step. You must make sure the account connected contains all your active job postings, campaigns, and billing information. Failure to select the correct Employer Account can lead to additional issues, even if you complete the steps to connect the correct Indeed user. If you select an Employer Account that doesn’t have active jobs or billing information, your job postings and campaigns will not be posted and Fountain won’t directly be notified. This can lead to issues like jobs not being visible to candidates or payment processing problems.

Tips:

  • Check for multiple Employer Accounts: Your organization may have several Indeed Employer Accounts, some of which may be old or inactive. It’s important to ensure you connect the account that has active job postings, campaigns, and billing set up.

  • Manually posted campaigns: If you’ve been manually posting jobs using another Employer Indeed Account, Fountain recommends switching to posting via your main Employer Account to streamline your process and avoid confusion.

Additional Resources:

If you are unsure about which Employer Account to select during the connection process, or you need help identifying the correct account, email your company’s Indeed representative with [email protected] cc’ed on the email. They should be able to confirm the correct account for you.
