Add a Compliance Task to an Onboard Flow

Updated over a week ago

Compliance is available as a task type in Onboard flows for accounts that have both the Onboard and Compliance products. This allows you to collect and review compliance documents as part of the onboarding process along with other Onboard tasks.

Requirements

  • Onboard product enabled on your account

  • Compliance product enabled on your account

  • At least one published Compliance requirement configured in Compliance > Requirements

Add a Compliance Task to a Flow

  1. Click Onboard in the left side panel, then click Flows and tasks.

  2. Click an existing flow to edit it, or click Add Flow to create a new one.

  3. On the Add tasks step, click Add a task.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the task type list and select Compliance.

  5. The Compliance task configuration panel will appear on the right. Complete the following fields:

    • Title: Enter the task name as workers will see it in their Worker Portal (e.g., "Proof of Identity").

    • Requirement: Select the applicable Compliance requirement from the dropdown. Only published requirements appear here.

    • Allow worker to continue to next task after uploading document: Toggle on to let workers advance immediately after uploading, without waiting for admin review and approval. Leave off to require review before the worker can continue.

  6. Click Save flow to save a draft of your changes, or if you're ready, click Next to proceed to the next step in the Flow creation.

If Tasks must be completed in order is enabled on the flow, the Compliance task will appear as locked in the worker's task list until all preceding tasks are completed.

Worker's Experience

When a worker reaches the Compliance task in their Onboard flow, their experience mirrors the standard Compliance worker experience:

  1. The worker is prompted to upload the required compliance document.

  2. Document upload guidelines are displayed (required file resolution, format, file size, and quality criteria).

  3. After uploading, the system scans the document and auto-populates fields such as name, expiration date, and document number.

  4. If needed, the worker reviews and can correct any extracted fields before submitting.

Review Compliance Documents Submitted Through an Onboard Flow

Through Onboard

Within Onboard, the Compliance Requirement will be trackable as a standard task, much like any other tasks included in the Flow.

  1. Click Onboard in the left side panel, then click Flows and tasks.

  2. Select the flow that contains the Compliance task.

  3. Click on a worker to view their progress on the Flow tasks.

  4. You'll see the Compliance task progress in the Worker status window.

Through Compliance

Documents submitted through Onboard flows also appear in the Compliance > Workers screen for review alongside documents submitted through other Compliance channels.

  1. Click Compliance in the left side panel, then click Workers.

  2. Locate and click on a worker to open the Workers status window.
