Set Up Cue Credit and Billing

Manage your Cue credit balance, purchase credits, configure billing settings, and monitor usage from the Credit and Billing page in Fountain Settings. For an overview of how Cue credits work, see How Cue Credits & Billing Works.

Access Credit and Billing

Credit and Billing is accessible to Administrators. To open it, navigate to Settings > Credit and Billing.

View Your Current Balance

Your current credit balance appears at the top of the page. Credits are tracked at the account level and apply across all Fountain products that use Cue.

Purchase Credits

To add credits to your account, select a credit pack from the Recharge section and complete the payment.

Four credit pack options are available:

  • 5,000 credits — $2,500.00

  • 15,500 credits — $7,500.00 (+500 bonus credits)

  • 55,000 credits — $25,000.00 (+5,000 bonus credits)

  • Custom pack — Volume discount available; click Contact us to discuss options

When completing a purchase, the confirmation flow depends on your billing mode:

  • Pay via invoice enabled — A Confirm purchase modal appears summarizing the credit pack and cost. Click Confirm to complete the purchase. Credits are added to your account immediately and billed through your regular Fountain invoice.

  • Pay via invoice disabled — A Complete payment modal appears. Select your payment method and complete the details:

    • Card — Enter your card number, expiration date, security code, country, and ZIP code, then click Pay now.

    • Bank — Search for your bank or select it from the list, then follow the prompts to connect your account and complete the payment. Paying by bank includes a $5 back incentive.

Configure Billing Mode

The Billing mode section controls how credit purchases are charged to your account. Pay via invoice is enabled by default, meaning credit packs are added to your account immediately and billed through your regular Fountain invoice.

To pay by credit card instead, disable the Pay via invoice toggle and click Save. A Payment methods section appears with an Add card button. Use Add card to save a payment method to your account for future purchases and to enable auto recharge — this does not complete a purchase. To purchase credits immediately, select a credit pack from the Recharge section and complete the payment in the Complete payment modal that appears.

Set Up Auto Recharge

Auto recharge automatically purchases a credit pack when your balance drops below a threshold you define, so Cue remains fully operational without manual top-ups.

To configure auto recharge:

  1. In the Auto recharge credits section, enable the Automatically recharge toggle.

  2. Select the credit pack to purchase when the threshold is reached.

  3. Set the credit balance threshold that triggers the recharge.

  4. Set a monthly cap in the Don't autocharge more than field to limit the maximum credits purchased per month.

  5. Click Save.

Allow Billing Overages

When enabled, your account can continue using paid Cue features after your credit balance reaches zero, up to a maximum overage limit.

Allow usage beyond your credit balance is enabled by default with a maximum overage limit of 2,000 credits. To adjust the overage limit, enter a new value in the Maximum overage limit field and click Save. To disable overages entirely, turn off the Allow usage beyond your credit balance toggle and click Save.

Overages Add to Your Bill

Credits used beyond your balance are charged at the standard rate up to your maximum overage limit. Monitor your usage regularly to avoid unexpected charges.

Set Up Billing Notifications

Billing notifications send email alerts to specified addresses when important credit and billing activity occurs.

Two notification types are available:

  • Credits balance drops under threshold — Enter one or more email addresses and set a credit threshold. A notification is sent when your balance falls below that amount.

  • New credits purchased — Enter one or more email addresses to receive a confirmation whenever credits are purchased.

To configure either notification, type an email address in the relevant field and press Enter, then click Save.

Monitor Credit Usage

The Credits usage section shows a log of credit activity across your account. Use the search bar and filters to narrow results by user or event type. Click Refresh to load the latest activity.

Use this log to forecast when you'll need more credits, identify usage spikes, and validate adoption of Cue across your team.

Access Invoices

The Credit card invoices section shows charges made to your saved credit card. Click Refresh to load the latest invoices.

Invoice Billing Customers

If your account is set to Pay via invoice, credit purchases appear on your regular Fountain invoice rather than in the Credit card invoices section.
