Bulk Update Job Description Details via Merge Keys

Merge Keys allow you to templatize information in Fountain by merging in applicant or Opening-specific information when creating document signing or message templates. With Fountain’s new ability to use Merge Keys within Job Descriptions, you can make bulk updates to your Job Descriptions. If a Merge Key is updated, all Job Descriptions with the updated Merge Key will automatically updated as well as the XML feed and API connected to your sourcing vendors.

Beta Feature:

Fountain’s Job Description Merge Key functionality is in limited beta. If you are interested in using this functionality in your account, contact your CSM or [email protected].

To use Job Description Merge Keys, follow the steps below:

  1. Once logged into Fountain, click the Jobs tab in the top toolbar. Then click Positions in the dropdown.

  2. Click Add Position.

  3. Click Customize Application Form.

  4. When crafting your description, use the Opening Keys to pull Merge Key data into the Job Description

  5. Update all other applicable fields and click Save. When the Merge Key data updates, all Job Descriptions with those Merge Keys will automatically update allowing you to bulk update this information.

The following Opening Keys are available to be added to the Job Description:

  • Account Name

  • Brand Name

  • Opening Name

  • Opening ID

  • Opening Owner Email

  • Opening Owner First Name

  • Opening Address

  • Opening Additional Info

  • Opening Pay Rate

  • Opening Pay Range

  • Opening Employment Type

  • Opening Address

  • Position Time Zone

  • Location Name

  • Location City
