Rule Stage Issues
Updated over a month ago

If you are experiencing issues with your Rule stages not working as intended, review the troubleshooting steps below. If you continue to have issues after attempting to resolve them, please email [email protected] for additional assistance.

Reviewing the Operator

When building a rule, you must ensure the correct Operator is selected for the Data Collection question type. For example, if you are building a rule connected to a checkbox-style question, you will want to select something like the 'Includes' Operator rather than the 'Equals' Operator.

The applicant can select more than one checkbox as their answer so the equal Operator will not apply, and the rule will not work as intended.

Review which Operators can be used for each question type by clicking the categories below:

Option Banks

When building a rule that involves an Option Bank for the answer, ensure that the value of the Option Bank is entered in the Value field of the rule and NOT the Label.

You can review the Option Label vs. the Option Value by navigating to the Company Settings page. Once in Company Settings, click Option Banks on the left side under App Settings. Find the Option Bank you want to review and click Actions then Edit Option Bank.
