Rule stages can be used to skip a stage, fast-track applicants, or auto-reject applicants. Rule Stages may also be used to automatically move applicants to another stage in any Opening, or to update their profile based on certain criteria (e.g. responded to “Are you over 21?” with “No”).
Aside from building rules in a Rule stage, users may also build rules inside a Partner stage. This is the only stage type, other than a Rule stage, where users can build rules without an automatic trigger to move an applicant.
See Understanding Partner Status in the Help Center for more information on status and labels.
Adding a Partner Stage
Once logged in to Fountain, click Applicants in the top toolbar and then click Applicant Table from the dropdown menu.
Within the Applicant Table, click Settings.
In the dropdown, click Edit Workflow.
In the top left corner of the Workflow Editor, click on the Add Stage button.
Select the Partner Stage you would like to create in the stage type dropdown. (e.g. EvidentID).
If you do not see the partner stage you want to add as an option, contact your CSM or [email protected] for assistance.
Creating Rules in a Partner Stage
Enter the rule you would like to create within the Stage editor, including any Custom Rules, Idle Move Rules, and Messages the applicant will see when the rules are triggered. Tip: When basing a Partner Rule off of a Partner Detail, use "Includes" as the Operator rather than "Equals".
Select one of the following from the Condition Type dropdown:
Partner detail has key means the condition is based on the contents of a Partner’s ‘Partner Details’ for a given applicant. Thus, you can create a Rule based on an entry given in the Partner Details (e.g. applicant has a County Criminal Record entry). Partner Details are accessed by clicking on the Colored Status in the Applicant Table or Universal Applicant View.
Partner detail has key with value means the condition is based on the contents of a given Partner’s ‘Partner Details’ for a given value within those Details, associated with a key as defined above (e.g. applicant has a County Criminal Value Record entry with a status of ‘Pending’).
Partner label has key means the condition is based on the contents of a Partner’s given label for an applicant.
Partner label does not have key means the condition is based on the contents of a Partner’s given labels for an applicant, and that label is not one selected for this rule.
Partner label has key with value means the condition is based on the contents of a Partner’s label with a certain value for the applicant.
Partner status is means the condition is equivalent to the set Status.
For any given task, an applicant can have one of six statuses: Not Started, In Progress / Waiting, Action Needed, Successful, Unsuccessful. See the table below or color-coded statuses:
Partner status is not means the condition is not the set Status (e.g. applicant is not in one of the statuses selected from the list above. This is useful to create a rule for an applicant that is not in status ‘Unsuccessful,’ for example).
Once complete, click Save Changes.
