Get EvidentID Account
In order to enable our EvidentID integration, you'll need to create an account by reaching out to the EvidentID team here. Already have a EvidentID account? Please skip to the next section.
Set up EvidentID Integration
Reach out to your CSM or [email protected] to enable this feature on your account. Once EvidentID has been enabled for your account move to step 2.
Contact the EvidentID team to request the relevant API Key and Account ID.
Copy it for use in Fountain.
Go to the Fountain page. Hover over your username on the top right, and click Integrations.
Click on Screening tab to left side. Click Connect to right of EvidentID.
Enter your EvidentID API Key and Account ID.
Click Save Changes, and you're done!
Add EvidentID Stage to Workflow
Choose EvidentID Partner Stage to add the stage to your Opening's workflow. Check out the article on how to add a stage here.
When an applicant lands on EvidentID Partner Stage in the application workflow, they will be automatically redirected to EvidentID's web portal.
Once the relevant information is completed on EvidentID portal, the applicant will automatically be redirected back to the Fountain's applicant portal.
EvidentID Partner Stage Rule
You can create partner stage rules on applicants in the EvidentID stage in the workflow editor. There are four statuses you can take action on: Pending Action, In Progress, Valid, and Invalid. The example status values are:
Submission Pending indicates applicant needs to complete the data submission on EvidentID portal
In Progress indicates that an applicant has submitted all relevant info and awaiting final result from EvidentID
Verifying indicates final results awaiting EvidentID
Valid indicates an applicant passed the screening
Invalid indicates the applicant has failed the screening
A user can create a rule to move the applicant through the Fountain funnel. Below is an example of the Partner stage with rule in the EvidentID partner stage:
Important Note:
It is recommended to have a custom stage with rules to be set up after the EvidentID stage. Since a background screening may take a day or two to complete, the custom stage with rules can hold the applicant until the final result has come back.

EvidentID uses email addresses to detect duplicate applicants. An applicant with the same email address will not be able to proceed through the application
