Vetty is an Identity and Background verification platform based out of NY. They provide IDV (ID Verification) and Background Check (BGC) screening to scaling organizations of every size, shape and kind. Top tier companies like AirBnB, Masterclass, and Wag! use Vetty as their background check provider.

Set up Vetty Integration

  1. Reach out to your CSM or [email protected] to enable this feature on your account. Once Vetty has been enabled for your account proceed to the next step.

  2. Contact the Vetty team to request the relevant Account ID.

  3. Copy and save it for use in Fountain.

  4. Navigate to the Fountain page. Hover over your username on the top right, and select Integrations.

  5. Select the Screening tab on the left side. Click Connect to the right of Vetty.

  6. Enter your Vetty Account ID.

  7. Click Save Changes, and you're done!

Add Vetty Stage to Workflow

  1. Choose Vetty Partner Stage to add the stage to your Opening's workflow. Visit this article detailing how to add a stage here.

  2. When an applicant lands on Vetty Partner Stage in the application workflow, they will be automatically redirected to Vetty's web portal.

  3. Once the relevant information is completed on Vetty portal, the applicant will automatically get redirected back to the Fountain's applicant portal.

Vetty Partner Status

You can create partner stage rules on applicants in the Vetty stage in the workflow editor. There are several statuses you can take action on. The example status values are:

Status

Definition

Applicant In Progress

Indicates that an applicant has received the Vetty login information and application, but has not completed it.

Pending Result

The background check is in progress, and Vetty's team is processing it.

Clear

Indicates an applicant passed the background screening.

Review Needed

Indicates further review needed on the applicant to make a decision.

Reviewed

Indicates the background check needs further review, but was marked as Meets Hiring Criteria by the employer.

PreAdverse Action

Indicates pre-adverse action required on applicant.

Adverse Action

Indicates adverse action required on applicant.

IDV Fail

The IDV is in Fail state, which prevents the background check from starting.

  • Possible Duplicate ID

  • Selfie Mismatch and other ID flags

  • ID Name Mismatch

  • Clear

Vetty Partner Stage Rule

A user can create a rule to move the applicant through the Fountain funnel. Below is an example of the Partner stage with rule in the Vetty partner stage.

Best Practice:
It is recommended to have a custom stage with rules to be setup after the Vetty stage. Since a background screening may take a day or two to complete, the custom stage with rules can hold the applicant until the final comes back.
