You now have the ability to set up rule stages based on Scorecard results! This feature can only be used for numerical scorecards (Weighted and Unweighted).
If you’d like applicants who have a total score less than 4 to be rejected, you can set up a rule stage to automatically filter these applicants out when they pass through this rule.
Once you’ve selected the Scorecard, and have scored the applicant, this will append a score to their applicant profile.
Their score can be found next to name of the Scorecard used on the‘Info’ tab of their applicant profile.
If we had set up a rule stage to reject applicants that have a score less than 4, this applicant would be rejected by this rule.
How to set up a rule stage based on a Scorecard
To set up rules based on a score, you’ll need to first create a Scorecard. If you’ve already created a scorecard you can continue on to the next section. If you haven’t created a Scorecard yet, and would like to know how, please see our Help Center article here.
Navigate to your Workflow Editor.
Click on“Add Rule” in the top left of the page.
From here you will fill out the information in this box according to your preferences.
You’ll need to select the condition for the rule as‘Score Card is’
Next you'll need to select the Scorecard you’d like to incorporate in this rule.
Next you’ll select the parameters (Less than, Equals, Does not equal, Greater than, Greater than or equal) For this example we’re going to use‘Less than’
Next you’ll enter the value of the cumulative score you’re looking for, for this example we’re going to use a value of 4, because we’re looking for the best!
Then you’ll need to select the actions this rule will perform (Move applicant to stage, Move applicant to next stage, Move applicant to opening, Update applicant data) For this example, we’re going to use“Move applicant to stage”
Next you’ll select the stage you’d like to move the applicant to. For this example, we’re going to use ‘Rejected’.
From there you’ll need to select the rejection reason, (keep in mind that these reasons are customizable in your company settings, and can have specific message templates applied and sent if the applicant lands in the rejected stage, for more information on this see our Help Center article here) for this example we’re going to select‘Not a good fit’.
The final step is to tell Fountain what to do in the event that the applicant does not meet the rule. For this example, we’re going to select ‘Move applicant to next stage’. Then click save!
Here's our completed Rule Stage:
Please note: if a scorecard does not exist for the applicant, the 'If applicant does not meet any rule' action will take place.
