Job Selector Stage
Updated over 2 months ago

It is vital your applicants are satisfied with the positions they apply for. Fountain’s new Job Selector stage will help your applicants find the right position for them and will help you decrease your advertising spend by aggregating your spending costs on fewer listings.

Overview

The Job Selector stage will help route your applicants from one job Opening to another without the usage of Rule stages and questions.

With thousands of roles to choose from, it can be intimidating for applicants to find the right one for them. This is where the Job Selector stage comes in! Whether there are multiple shifts for a role or multiple roles in close proximity to each other, the Job Selector stage presents a narrowed-down view of several Fountain Openings for applicants to apply to. Once they choose the Opening they are interested in, they will be presented with the option to choose a more specific Opening such as day shift vs. night shift. The applicant is then routed to that specific Opening to complete the application.

Job Selector Functionality

When adding a Job Selector stage, you must add it to an Opening that is meant for sourcing. Remember, this stage will route the applicant to another Opening meant for hiring after they make their selection. Fountain recommends this is the last stage in the sourcing Opening to ensure the stage works as intended.

To add the Job Selector stage, follow the steps below:

  1. Access the Workflow Editor for the sourcing Opening you want to add the stage to.

  2. Click Add Stage in the top left corner.

  3. Type a name for the stage, then select Job Selector as the stage type in the dropdown. Place this stage at the end of the workflow before the Approved stage.

  4. In the Select openings to show section, click Add Condition.

  5. Choose a Condition Type and Value from each dropdown. These will route your applicants to additional Openings based on the criteria that you set.

  6. Click + Add Conditions to add additional conditions.

  7. To show applicants Openings within a specific radius of the applicant’s zip code, click the toggle under Advanced Options to on. Then choose either 25, 50, or 100 miles in the dropdown. Please note, in order to use the radius functionality, you must ask for the applicant’s zip code by adding the zip code Standard Question on the Application form or a Data Collection Stage before the Job Selector stage

  8. If you need to delete a condition, click the trashcan icon to the right of the condition.

  9. When done, click Save Changes in the top right corner of the Workflow Editor.

Best Practice:

Fountain recommends previewing your sourcing Opening from the applicant’s perspective to ensure the Job Selector stage is working correctly.
