Viewing Applicant Signed Documents
Updated over 2 months ago

After an applicant has electronically signed a document during the Fountain application, that document is available to view.

Follow the steps below to view an electronically signed document:

  1. Navigate to the Applicant Table or Universal Applicant View.

  2. Click on the completed Status Label for the signed document.

  3. Next, click View Document.

  4. The signed version of the document will open in a new browser tab.

The signed document will be saved as a PDF file, which allows you to download the PDF file directly from the new tab by clicking on the download button in the top right corner.

Native Document Signing Status Labels

For Native Document Signing / Dropbox Sign, Status Labels are displayed with grouped docs:

  • If more than one document is part of the same envelope, the number of documents under the label is specified by a prefix in the label - (2), (3), etc.

  • If the applicant is moved back to the document signing stage after moving out, a second label is generated with a new “Incomplete” status. The old Status Label will still be attached to the applicant which will provide access to any older documents.

To learn more about setting up a document to be electronically signed by applicants, review the Document Signing Stage article.
