Search in Hire
In Hire, Universal Search finds the following.
Applicants by name. Results show the applicant's name and email, and open the applicant.
Openings by title. Results show the location and position, and open the Opening's pipeline.
Pages: Openings, All Applicants, Workflows, Locations, Positions, and Account Settings.
Search in Platform view
In the Fountain platform, Universal Search finds the following.
Workers by name.
Pages: any page in your sidebar. Before you type, pages are grouped under Core, Settings, and Products. Once you type, matching pages appear in one Pages list.
Hire pages, such as Hire — Applicants, if you also have access to Hire. Selecting one opens Hire and signs you in automatically.
Understand Search Results
Keep the following in mind when you scan results.
You only see pages and records you already have permission to access.
Before you type, only the first 8 pages appear, but you can type to see more. For example, start typing in "Applicants" to pull up a link to the Applicants page.
Results appear in a fixed order and are not sorted by relevance, so scan the list for the best match.
Search Matches Names, Titles, and Page Keywords
Universal Search matches the words you type against names, titles, and page keywords. It does not match related terms or abbreviations, so type part of the actual name or title.
