The Indeed Integration is a direct integration between Fountain and Indeed that enables users to sponsor jobs to Indeed directly via Fountain. The Indeed integration is available in the US, Canada, the UK, and the EU. Your company must have an Indeed account to use Fountain’s Indeed Integration.
Additionally, Fountain offers an integration with Indeed Organic. To learn more, review the Managing Your Indeed Organic Feed in Fountain Help Center article.
Introduction to Indeed via Fountain
The Indeed Integration was created to enhance and further customize your user experience when you sponsor your job Openings on Indeed. This functionality allows you to sponsor your Openings on Indeed and take advantage of Indeed Easy Apply, while remaining in your Fountain account.
By using the Indeed integration, your applicants can apply without leaving the Indeed website and will be placed directly in the Fountain workflow of the Openings to which they applied.
To ensure your ads get the maximum visibility on Indeed, refer to the Indeed Guidelines article for best practices.
Sponsor a Job to Indeed
To sponsor a job to Indeed, follow the steps below:
Click Sourcing in the top toolbar of any Fountain page.
Click Sponsored Postings on the left side.
Click Post Job in the top right corner.
Click the Indeed box. Please note, if you are already using Fountain's Boost option, you can have an active Indeed campaign and an active Boost for the same opening simultaneously. However, you can only have one Indeed campaign per opening and one Boost per Opening.
If you have not yet connected your company’s Indeed account to Fountain, you will be prompted to do so. Click Connect to be brought to Indeed’s website to connect your account. You will be redirected back to Fountain once the connection is successful.
Select the Opening you want to sponsor to Indeed from the list and click Next.
Enter the amount you will spend on the Indeed campaign and a start and end date.
Select either the Fixed End Date or Target End Date radio button. Please note, regardless of whether you select Fixed End Date or Target End Date, you will not be charged for any unspent budget.
If you choose a Fixed End Date, your campaign will end on the selected end date, regardless of whether the full budget you've allocated to the campaign has been spent or not.
If you choose a Target End Date, Indeed will aim to spend the entire budget for the campaign, which may cause the campaign to run past the selected end date, if additional funding is still available.
Click Next.
On the final page, you can edit the job’s Title and Description. To make updates to the pay rate, hours, job type, location, or industry, you will need to edit the Opening in Fountain. Click the Edit Opening link to make these changes. Once you are done making changes to the title and/or description, click Finish Edit.
If you set a custom description for the campaign, the job description used in the feed sent to Indeed will revert back to its regular description once the campaign has ended. This does not apply to accounts that have disabled Organic Traffic and are only using Sponsored Campaigns.
Click Post to Indeed when you are ready to sponsor your job. Please note, Indeed sponsored campaigns will not be activated unless billing is set up with Indeed. Click the Manage Billing and Payment Methods link to be brought to your Indeed account.
All billing and subsequent inquiries will be facilitated by Indeed. For additional support, please reach out to your Indeed representative.
View Your Insights on the Job Postings Dashboard
To view your insights on the Job Postings Dashboard, follow the steps below:
Select the Sourcing tab located in the top navigation bar, then select Sponsored Postings located in the left menu.
On the Sponsored Postings tab, select the Opening you'd like to review. Campaigns sponsored via Indeed are identified by the Indeed logo in the Type column. On this tab, you can view the daily spend and number of applicants received each day your Indeed campaign has been live.
For more detailed reporting, please review the Analytics Dashboard in your Indeed account.
Important Note:
This screen is also where you can cancel your active Indeed campaigns. Users can also manage/cancel their campaigns directly from their Indeed account. You cannot edit an Indeed campaign once it is active. If you would like to make edits to an active Indeed campaign, you will have to cancel and redo it. For assistance with this, contact your CSM or [email protected].
