Hire Go - Availability Page & Specific Opening Interview Settings

If you need to update your timezone or interview availability after initial account setup, you can do so via the Availability screen. On this screen, you can update your name, timezone, adjust availability reoccuring availability, and create ad hoc availability.

Additionally, each Opening will have settings related to the Interview, which will also be discussed in this article.


Updating Recurring Interview Availability

To update your recurring interview availability, navigate to the Availability screen and then follow the steps below:

  1. Click the + to the right of any day's availability to add another availability window. For example, if you can host interviews in the morning and afternoon but need to take an hour between for lunch, use the plus to break out the availability windows.

  2. Click the papers icon to copy the availability to another day or multiple days.

  3. Click the trashcan to remove previously entered availability.

  4. Click Save.


Ad Hoc Availability Management

With Hire Go's availability override feature, you can create ad hoc availability for a number of scenarios:

  • Make extra time: Add a new one-off time window when you’re available for interviews that's outside of your recurring availability.

  • Adjust availability on a certain date: Remove a timeframe from an upcoming date when you’re normally available for interviews based on your recurring availability.

  • Block a whole day: Remove all your availability for an upcoming date if you’re going to be out of the office.

To use Hire Go's availability override feature, click +Add in the Availability overrides section.

Then follow the steps below:

  1. Select the date on the calendar on the left.

  2. Select the timeframe.

  3. If you want to be available during this time, you are done. Simply click Save.

  4. If you do not want to be available during this time, check the "I'm not available" box. Then click Save.

  5. You can also add additional blocks by clicking the + icon to the right of the timeframe selection dropdowns.


External Calendar Connection

At the bottom of the Availability page, you'll see the external calendar you have connected. To disconnect the calendar, click the trashcan icon. Learn about how to connect your external calendar in this article.


Specific Opening Interview Settings

In a specific Opening's page, click the Settings tab to adjust interview settings for that specific Opening, including adding an optional Application Deadline, the required interview Host(s), required interview Duration, required number of attendees, and optional Instructions for the interview. Be sure to click Save after making any updates to the Interview tab.

Important Note:

If the Opening is in Colorado, the Application Deadline field is required to be completed.

Tips!

  • Going on vacation and want to assign a different host who will be covering you? Change your interview host easily via the Settings tab.

  • If you assign multiple hosts to an Opening’s interviews, the combination of the hosts’ entered availability will be shown to applicants for interview slot selection. This can allow for more interview slots for applicants to choose from.
